About

Hey there world!

I am a current undergraduate student in the US of A and I’ve caught the incurable “travel bug”.  Growing up, my mom worked for American Airlines, which allowed us to fly standby and for free.  Until 2003 (she quit after 9/11) we took advantage of this as much as possible and I have been to more countries and places than I remember.  Some of this is due to the fact that I was just too young to remember though!

My two majors are Exercise Science, in a pre-professional capacity, and Spanish Language and Literature. I am minoring in Psychology and hope to attend PA (Physician Assistant) graduate school in 2014.  Career-wise, I would love to work in a trauma center or in surgery, and I want to be able to translate effectively for any patient in my care.

However, the desire to explore the world, see and learn about new cultures, and speak multiple languages has never gone away! In 2006 I spent 3 weeks in Australia with a group called People to People Student Ambassadors (16 years old) and had an amazing time.  In 2013, I spent 6 months studying in Valparaíso, Chile (22 years old) and had an even better time.

My goal in life is to visit all 50 states and as many of the other countries in the world as I can! I am currently “almost” bilingual with English and Spanish, but I am just beginning to learn French, German, and Italian. With the friends I made on my study abroad trip, I also am trying to pick up phrases in Danish, Norwegian, Portuguese, etc..

I will try my very best to keep up with this blog about my worldly travels and I hope that my adventures will jump-start your inner traveler as well!

Look out world, here I come!
